I had my surgery with Dr. Gorab four weeks ago. I waited three months to have him perform the surgery on me as he is known as one of the best doctors performing knee replacements. from the moment I got to the institute to check in, everyone was very nice polite and interested in me as a person. I enjoyed the pre-surgery experience. The surgery went better than Expected. I had excellent discharge procedure, and home care physical therapy. It was a total package that has gone very well for me.

Dr. Shepard performed a total of three surgeries on both of my children. My son, Ryan was a high school pitcher and had a torn labrum in his shoulder and my daughter Katelyn, a water polo player and swimmer, tore her meniscus and ACL as a result of a marital arts demonstration. Not only did my children have very positive results from the surgeries, they both developed a terrific relationship with Dr. Shepard. He took the time at our appointments to thoroughly explain the procedures as well as getting to know them personally. He gave Katie the opportunity to sit in on another surgery he was performing as a result of her interest in the medical field. Judith F. of Santa Ana has had two hip replacement Surgeries. her right hip was replaced four years ago and her left hip earlier this year, this time using the anterior approach. Dr. Steve Barnett, an orthopaedic Surgeon at St. Joseph Hospital, Performed both surgeries. Both were successful, but she describes the difference between the procedures as "amazing".

Dr. Shepard is a wonderful asset to our Athletic Training Department at Chapman University. He often sees athletes at their most uncomfortable and frustrating times and then patiently explains how they’ll become whole again. His main goal is to educate the patient about what has actually happened to his body and how the entire healing process works. While Dr. Shepard’s extensive education and experience are obvious, it’s the relationships he builds with patients that make him truly extraordinary. Without a doubt, my athletes’ health and well-being are in the best hands when they are in Dr. Shepard’s care.
